Making a Stand For Non-Violence

The organization Black Women for Positive Change is holding their annual

                       week of non-violence

The event will end in Baltimore, Maryland after touring several eastern and southern states in the U.S.  There will be several conferences, workshops, and discussions, as well as a non-violent film screening.  For those who register online, there will even be an essay competition based on the film (which can be found on promotional web pages).

Even if you don’t live in Baltimore or the United States’ Southeast region.  There are plenty of ways for you to stay plugged into the event.  Non-violence is becoming more and more of a high profile issue.  Because of our societies access to information, many Americans are beginning to see that violence (as it happens for Americans) is not a “universal” issue.  We CAN make positive changes to bring the violence down in our cities.  We CAN instill a culture of love and stewardship in young Americans TODAY.
